PhD Candidate in Urban and Regional Planning

Tri Mulyani Sunarharum (Yani) adalah kandidat doktor di bidang Perencanaan Wilayah dan Kota di Queensland University of Technology (QUT). Ia memulai studi Master of Applied Science by Research pada tahun 2012 kemudian artikulasi ke jenjang S3 pada tahun 2013. Ia menerima Beasiswa Unggulan DIKTI 2012, kemudian menerima Higher Degree Research Tuition Fee Scholarship dan QUT Postgraduate Research Award dari QUT.

Yani juga mendapat beasiswa untuk mengikuti dan mempresentasikan makalah penelitiannya pada Residential Doctoral School yang terinkorporasi dengan Konferensi Internasional dari ANDROID Disaster Resilience Network, the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction dan beberapa institusi internasional lainnya, di Salford Quays, Inggris pada bulan September 2014. Selain itu, ia adalah reviewer dari International Journal of Disaster Resilience in the Built Environment, yang dipublikasikan oleh Emerald Group Publishing Limited.

Yani adalah Wakil Ketua PPIA QUT dan Ketua Bidang Eksternal PPIA Pusat 2014-2015, Ketua QUT Science and Engineering Faculty Higher Degree Research Student Society 2014, pengurus Indonesian Islamic Society of Brisbane 2014, dan aktif di Australia Indonesia Youth Association (AIYA) Queensland Chapter. Ia menjadi Tim Pendukung Indonesia untuk G20 Summit dan mengikuti Global Cafe G20 Youth Forum pada bulan November 2014 di Brisbane. Disamping itu, Yani adalah co-founder dari Komunitas Gelora Indonesia. Ia juga telah membangun jaringan profesional yang luas dengan berafiliasi dengan Planning Institute of Australia, Australasian Early Career Urban Research Network, dan QUT Centre for Emergency and Disaster Management. Ia barusaja menjadi pemenang dari Student Leadership Excellence Award 2015 yang diadakan oleh QUT.

Talenta dan hobi yang dimiliki Yani dalam bidang seni telah membawanya menjadi pengurus inti, pelatih, sekaligus penari dari QUT Intercultural Sharing of Talents and Arts Group Enthusiasts (iStage). Ia juga menjadi vokalis Buaya Keroncong Brisbane (BKB), sebuah band music keroncong di Brisbane. Yani sering tampil menyanyi dan menari di berbagai multi-kultural festival dan festival internasional di Queensland. Baru-baru ini, ia menciptakan lagu untuk PPIA dan menyanyikannya di acara OlymPPIA 2015. Ia juga menjadi juara pertama OlymPPIA Singing Contest 2015.

 

Tri Mulyani Sunarharum (Yani) is PhD Candidate in Urban and Regional Planning at Queensland University of Technology (QUT). She started her study by undertaking Master of Applied Science by Research in 2012 then articulated into PhD studies in 2013. She was Beasiswa Unggulan DIKTI 2012 awardee, then received Higher Degree Research Tuition Fee Scholarship and QUT Postgraduate Research Award from QUT. Yani also received scholarship to attend and to present her research paper at Residential Doctoral School Program incorporated with International Conference of ANDROID Disaster Resilience Network, the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction and some other International Institutions, in Salford Quays, United Kingdom in September 2014. Besides, she has been a reviewer of International Journal of Disaster Resilience in the Built Environment, published by Emerald Group Publishing Limited.

Yani has served as Vice President of PPIA QUT and Head of External Division of PPIA 2014-2015, President of QUT Science and Engineering Faculty Higher Degree Research Student Society 2014, committee of Indonesian Islamic Society of Brisbane 2014, and has been actively involved in Australia Indonesia Youth Association (AIYA) Queensland Chapter. She was the Indonesia Supporting Team for G20 Summit and participated in Global Cafe G20 Youth Forum in November 2014 in Brisbane. Besides, Yani is a co-founder of Gelora Indonesia Community. She has also built an extensive professional network by affiliating with Planning Institute of Australia, Australasian Early Career Urban Research Network, and QUT Centre for Emergency and Disaster Management. She just won the Student Leadership Excellence Award 2015 of QUT.

 

Yani’s talent and her passion in art have led her to be a committee member, trainer and dancer of QUT Intercultural Sharing of Talents and Arts Group Enthusiasts (iStage). She is also vocalist of Buaya Keroncong Brisbane (BKB), an Indonesian keroncong music band. She often represents QUT iStage and BKB to perform a cultural dance and song in various multicultural and international festivals in Queensland. Recently, she composed a song for PPIA and performed it at OlymPPIA 2015. She also won the first place for OlymPPIA Singing Contest 2015.
