The SEAD (South-East Asian Diaspora) Circle were kicking things off in Melbourne on Tuesday, 12 September 2017 at Multicultural Hub, 506 Elizabeth St. Founded by Diletta Legowo, an Indonesian student who passionate in design, development, and diaspora.
The SEAD Circle is a social network and think tank that focuses on generating contemporary solutions and hands-on projects benefitting the Southeast Asian region. Launched to connect the dots between the Southeast Asian Diaspora and development, the SEAD Circle is exploring ways of how members of the Southeast Asian diaspora in Australia can collaborate to generate innovative development solutions.
Why Melbourne? “It’s because we also hope to vamp up the cultural vibrancy of Melbourne, the multicultural city we all take pride in,” said Diletta, who is completing her final semester in International Development at RMIT University. She shared the background story of her project. “I’ve been working on this project for a while now, and I thought that it was about time we brought the idea to the public.”
